Capstone Canada (and US) is coming up… here’s what you need to know.
Capstone: Advanced Full Spectrum Birthwork Training is a 14 week community-based learning experience that brings together facilitators from all over Canada and the US to skill share, story tell, guide, and support birthworkers who are interested in delving deeper into the full spectrum of reproductive care work. Our collective goal through Capstone is to deepen the practice of birthwork to become expansive, radical, revolutionary, and transformative.
What began as an abortion doula training expanded into this full spectrum training that encompasses all the conversations so many of us wish were being had in the birthwork space. This training continues to expand and shift, much like the work we do in our communities.
Every cohort brings its own focus and differs from every other one because of the very people who show up, especially in our weekly live virtual class where our group discussions between students and collaborators illuminate, inspire and inform. All classes are closed captioned and most are recorded for students to replay later, at the discretion of the facilitator depending on the sensitivity of the information shared.
